Counting A Thousand Gifts from God continues:
295 • despite my sinus infection's dulling of the taste buds, I can still—at least—taste the buttery salty wonder of bacon!
296 • finding change from our work in the yard.
297 • hot water bottle compresses.
298 • the thought that, even if birds are sick, they still sing. praising where praise cannot help but be given.
299 • an unexpected treat from a friend who knows my kryptonite: chocolate and peanut butter.
300 • watching my daughter through the window, as she races down the driveway on her bike. pink and purple handle bar streamers trailing.
301 • potted flowers with painted pots from my children for Mother's Day.
302—320
the Bud's version of "Happy Mother's Day", "HAPP-EH DAY-OHHHHH!!!!", over and over again.
lemon-cello torte cake.
pulling out the Bud's newborn clothing for Rowen.
cleaning the fridge and suddenly realizing, "I'm swishing with fluoride. How long have I been swishing with fluoride? Maybe I should spit the fluoride out!"
taking the kids to Costco, in a town outside of our own, by myself, for the first time.
Mr. Bobbinoggin's new schedule that includes three day weekends again.
an almost finished bathroom.
Mr. Bobbinoggin's gifts.
freshly vacuumed stairs!
5-yr-olds. they're more efficient than smoke detectors when it comes to forgetting about a cast-iron skillet left on the stove with bacon grease.
Chips-Ahoy cookies. Family Pack. discounted price, from the Grocery Outlet.
a nice cold glass of milk.
the sound of my dishwasher churning.
knowing my husband can be there for others during the worst day of their life and hoping, that maybe his presence will provide some ounce of comfort that might otherwise not have been provided.
new yarn arrival in the mail, so I can start Rowen's owl hat.
the white speckled blooms of a deciduous tree, outside my kitchen window.
when my children are joyfully obedient.
when I'm joyfully obedient.
2 weeks left until Rowen's due date (keep in mind, The Bud arrived without induction, on his due date... so we don't know if Rowen will be early or late!)
a pile of kleenex to refold and stuff back in the box.
