5-months-old

Mr. Aiden.

I'm a little late in posting your hallmark, 5-months-old milestone.

You have two super cute bottom teeth, and as you can see, you're tonguing a third slowly emerging tooth.

You love to say ma-ma-ma-ma-ma and bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb.
You're crazy about single grain oatmeal. You watch us eat and slap your hands on the table eagerly for your turn. You weigh 18+ lbs. You wake once at night to eat. You're lots and lots of fun!

I postdated this to January 12th, when Mr. A turned 5-months-old.

Jabber Wobbler

Here's a 'lil something we enjoy doing with any baby. We did this with K when she was little too.

Make You Jump/Swing

This is what happens when you put a 4-yr-old and a 4-month-old together while the younger is in his jumper.

Please forgive my looming laugh. I couldn't help it. Honest.

a tale of many hats

Mr. Aiden, we need to try on your hats and see which ones still fit!

a bit big on this one, me thinks.

all done! what do you think?

oh. oh. okay!

Praise be to God.

There are days like today. Where I am able to stand amidst the strength of God's stance and say, "God is good". Far more than that, He is merciful and just--beyond the comprehension and reasoning our humble little minds can afford to procure.

As I exist in this new year, I can say that he is merciful in continuing to give me the oxygen that fills my breath. And yet, if that air was taken from me this very moment, He would still be merciful and just.

Praise be to God in all things.

Merry Christmas

Mr. Bobbinoggin must work on Dec. 24th and 25th.

We celebrated our respective Christmas Eve and Day earlier in the week.

I have my priorities. It may be decaf, but it's still coffee!

I get more excited about pretty dolls and horses than she does.

Sugar overload.

And these made my knees melt. YUM.

During this Christmas Season I Think

About the truest, most endearing and priceless gift God has given me.

Come On In

Take a look at my dining room.

Since we upgraded dining tables--thanks to Craigslist--I now have enough room on the table to enjoy a center piece. You can't tell in this picture, but the table is black with red undertones. It came with three chairs (not four!) and an additional leaf all for the gleaming price of $50.

It's wonderful having room for plenty of wine glasses and food dishes. However, I try to keep a table cloth on the table after discovering a slight misnomer on the table's finish. Whomever previously owned the table must have done an amateur paint and finish, because the finish simply scratches off when cleaning and all too easily sticks to warm, cold and luke warm plates and beverages. A summer project? I think so.

I hope to show a night time picture with pretty candles lit, soon. Mayhaps I'll take a picture of the table setting on Christmas.

I scored all three candle holders at the op shop (used store) for 94 cents a piece. The blue metallic candles were 25 cents each.

I'm thinking about spray painting them an antique white. But their home outside of Christmas, is on my bedroom dresser next to an old jewelry box of my mother's that has gold trim. They complement each other nicely. And the tarnished brass adds a bit of charm, I think.

A Few

Of My Favorite Things

Saturday, December 19, 2009

4-months-old

Aiden, you are 4-months-old and 2 weeks.
You weigh 18 pounds and are in the 97 percentile for weight and height. That means I'm currently putting you in 6-9 month outfits for length (and the size of your belly!).

You almost thought it was a neat thing to sleep through the night. I was feeding you at midnight and then you'd sleep until 7AM. But now you're on strike and I'm a little frustrated by it. We're back to feeding every four hours no matter what.

My favorite noise that you make is a "babble". You move your mouth while cooing and make all sorts of foreign noises. You're entertainment, no doubt about it!

Hallway Fun

Feeding

In the Bobbinoggin house, you never know what you might find your kids doing.

As K nursed her baby doll, I heard her saying,

"You like milk? I have a titty. I don't have boobs. I'm not married."
